Bead making is a traditional skill in Ghana and the different varieties of beads all have customary significance in Ghanaian culture. Some beads are worn for spiritual protection and are thought to impart the knowledge and wisdom from previous elders.

The way each bead is handcrafted is a meticulous skill form. Our artisans start with unusable and glass bottles, and recycle them into incredible treasures. This glass is washed, pounded, moulded, baked, painted, baked again, polished and then assembled into bespoke masterpieces.

You will not find any mass produced jewellery here. It's not factory made. And so your purchase supports a real person behind it all. We hope you love our sustainable range of handcrafted jewellery.
