The Natural Bogolan cross-body bag is made from the popular Bogolan or Mudcloth textiles from Northern Mali. This bag uses an earthy tan coloured bogolan fabric. These intense geometric patterns are made using 100% natural processes including dying the fabric with mud, lending the textile its name. Our African textile handbag collection aims to showcase hand-made traditions, make as little waste as possible, and cross cultures by working with materials and designs from different West African countries.

  • Size is 23cm x 18cm & cross-body strap is 120cm
  • Tan leather strap
  • Made from Mali mud cloth and tan genuine leather from Niger
  • Inside lining, pocket, snap closure
  • Handmade in Ghana
  • Treated for water resistance

Each bag is one-of-a-kind and handmade in Ghana.

Slight variations in textile cut patterns and minor “imperfections” are common as these authentic West African textiles are individually hand-spun, hand-woven, hand-dyed, and hand-painted by artisans. The finished textile may have pattern variations or pulls at seams where fabric is joined together to make larger pieces of cloth. Our products are made with the highest quality assurance standards in mind so you will love your unique bags.
